Cannot find your place at the table? Why not build your own table?

No matter what the ongoing (random) fued is about, it gets materialised into a socio-political issue in India (especially). When nothing else works, some boomers always resort to weaponising religion for their political gains and this boils down to women bearing the brunt- be it the curse words that are targeted at our gender or the normalised character assassination.

Sometimes I even feel going through Twitter ain’t nothing but headache.

Timelines flloded with doctored videos and manipulated media, make it harder to get to the bottom of everything or draw the line between right and wrong. This leaves you in spiral of thoughts.

But one thing is clear that society will not let us have sovereignty over our own bodies or free will.

I mean, how hard it is to make some men understand that women don’t owe themselves up for consumption. But, this will continue to take place as long as women are underrepresented.

So the next time we get a change to negotiate for a job offer or a promotion, don’t bog down without a good fight. Because our fight is not just confined to our own self but the larger section who has been always been undermined, vilified and objectified by this society. Work your ass off because we need representation. And if you cannot find your place on the table, build your own fucking table.
